This month has been surprising. There were not as many unique visitors as expected and it is difficult not to get discouraged. This is a time of year when people come to websites for stores and not necessarily information. The traffic may go down again in December as well. Let’s not hope for a downward spiral though.
There should be some operating capital this month to set up a link system to see if we can get some traffic flowing to the site.
So the stats for November are as follows, 45 unique visitors, 108 visits and 1336 hits to the site. As of December 1st there were 711 results for Langorang in Google, 135 results in Yahoo! And 23 in Ask.com. Ask has yet to pick up on the site proper.
When one wants to build a site debt free, I guess that it becomes an exercise in patience. The great thing about this site is that I continue to do things with it. I really like the aspects of language and culture in society.
The big traffic getters are the YouTube videos and the Job Listings. I will be picking up a book today that will help me expand on what is going on with the site. It will show step by step how to build an admin area. With that it also has code that will help me set up a simple RSS aggregator. Things are looking up. Soon I will be able to add more listings to the site and hopefully drive more traffic to the site as well.
